Lyngdorf hi-fi tech and Steinway acoustic know-how go into super expensive sound system.

World renowned piano maker Steinway & Sons has teamed up with, er, world renowned hi-fi creator Lyngdorf to create an ultra-expensive, ultra-exclusive and ultra-high quality digital audio system offering "an extraordinary experience for discerning clientele the world over."

The Steinway & Sons Model-D Music System incorporates Lyngdorf's "RoomPerfect" technology, which allows the stereo system to be configured for any room type and shape. This needs to be carried out by a specialist, and will be done when the system is installed at your home.

Less than 100 of the systems are likely to be made, and they will be priced at a tasty $150,000 (£75,000). A release date of "Fall 2007" has been given, and you can register your interest on the official website .
