Sega's Virtual Tennis franchise comes to iPhone and iPad
Virtua Tennis graduates to iPhone and iPad following a launch on Android. Take on 50 opponents in doubles or singles competition and challenge your pals to a set over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi
Sega has expanded the mobile reach of its classic Virtua Tennis franchise by launching the Challenge game for iOS devices.
The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 title first stepped onto the Android court a couple of months back following an exclusive debut on the ill-fated but well-intentioned Xperia Play handset.
The Virtua Tennis Challenge game, which is optimised for both iPhone and iPad, requires you to build your career by smashing down serves and sizzling backhand passes against a roster of 50 players in singles or doubles tournaments.
You'll play on a variety of surfaces, which require you to adjust your shot selection accordingly, and graduate to 18 different venues around the world as your career progresses.
You can play against the computer or your can hook up for an online game with your friends over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
For just £2.99, it's approximately 1462 per cent cheaper than a Pimms with strawberries and cream at SW19. And there's no chance of Sir Cliff performing a singalong during the rain delay either.
