Sega asks fans to vote for next Megadrive game on XBLA

Earthworm Jim or Golden Axe II, you decide

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Genesis/Megadrive, Sega is letting you the loyal gamers choose which 16-bit game should be reincarnated on Xbox LIVE Arcade.

 

Already home to over 230 retro game delights which include the likes of Duke Nukem 3D, Frogger 2, and Defender, now one of seven iconic Megadrive games will get honoured with seventh gen status.

 - Sign up to T3 and bag yourself a Sega Megadrive Handheld

 

The games up for nomination are Earthworm Jim, Golden Axe II, Shining Force, Revenge of Shinobi, Streets of Rage, ToeJam & Earl, and Wonder Boy.

 

Earthworm Jim has the lead at the moment with 46% (after we voted for it), with Toejam & Earl riding in second place.

 

You’ve got till August 22nd 2009 to have your say, and if you want to ensure your choice gets pride of place on Xbox LIVE Arcade, you can flex your democratic power by voting again every 24 hours.
