Samsung used its press conference at IFA today to announce its brand-new ATIV devices based on Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8.

The range includes the ATIV Smart PC, ATIV Smart PC Pro, ATIV Tab, and ATIV S.

Samsung ATIV Smart PC and Samsung ATIV Smart PC Pro

The 11.6-inch Samsung ATIV Smart PC and ATIV Smart PC Pro feature a detachable keyboard-docking system that allows users to use it as a laptop or tablet.

The Pro is essentially has more processing firepower and a HD screen.

Both are equipped with the S Pen. The pre-loaded S Note application accompanies it. to make writing and drawing as simple and intuitive as possible.

They are 9.9mm and 11.9mm thick, respectively. The ATIV Smart PC Pro has a Intel Core i5 processor and the ATIV Smart PC has an Intel Atom processor.

They feature USB 2.0(Smart PC), USB 3.0(Smart PC Pro), mHDMI, miniSD and two extra USB 2.0 ports on the keyboard. The ATIV Smart PC has a battery life of up to 13.5 hours, whereas,the ATIV Smart PC Pro, runs up to eight hours.

The new Samsung ATIV Tab weighs 570g, features a 10.1-inch display, and measures 8.9mm thick

A 8,200 mAh battery provides the juice, while a USB port and uHDMI allows it to be connected to other devices.

Samsung ATIV S: Smartphone

The Samsung ATIV S is a smartphone with a hefty 1.5GHz dual-core processor and HSPA 42 connectivity. It also features a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display.
