Samsung to unveil two new tablets at MWC 2012?
Samsung is reportedly preparing to unveil two all new tablet devices at MWC 2012 after the Korean company confirmed it would not be unveiling the Samsung Galaxy S II follow up, the repeatedly leaked Samsung Galaxy S3, until later in the year.
The two as yet unannounced tablets, known as the Samsung GT-P5100 and GT-P3100, have been spotted on a list of devices applying for interoperability Wi-Fi certificates ahead an expected Mobile World Congress unveiling in Barcelona later this month.
Previously tipped to headline the company's MWC product announcement the eagerly awaited Samsung Galaxy S3 will now not be unveiled until later this year with Samsung confirming it will showcase and release it's new flagship Android device during "the first half of the year."
“Samsung is looking forward to introducing and demonstrating exciting new mobile products at Mobile World Congress 2012,” an official Samsung spokesperson said. “The successor to the GALAXY S II smartphone will be unveiled at a separate Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year, closer to commercial availability of the product.”
Samsung MWC 2012 Rumours
Although little is know regarding the two upcoming tablets other than their official product titles recent rumours have suggested Samsung is to add to its 7.7, 8.9 and 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab offerings with a new super sized 11.6-inch model.
Packed with a bevy of premium specs the mooted Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6 is said to sport a hearty 2GHz dual-core tablet with the ever impressive Samsung displays to see a stunning 2560 x 1600p resolution offering land. Google's latest mobile OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is also tipped for inclusion.
