Samsung IFA 2011 teaser hints at new smartphone

IFA 2011 teaser video promises big things from Samsung

Samsung teaser video offers glimpse at Galaxy S II follow-up to be unveiled at IFA 2011

Ahead of the 2011 IFA expo, Samsung has released a new product video teasing a new handset it plans to unveil at the Berlin-based show.

Whilst the teaser trailer offers little in terms of a visual offering of the IFA bound handset, the video ends with the tagline “Something big is coming” before offering up September 1st as the device’s date of arrival.

Following the phenomenal success of the Samsung Galaxy S II, a handset that has outsold the Apple iPhone 4 in the UK over the past three months to become the nation’s favourite smartphone, Samsung is expected to unveil another industry powerhouse with the repeatedly leaked Android Ice Cream Sandwich handset a likely candidate.

Tipped as sporting a 1.4GHz dual-core processor the mooted Samsung Ice Cream Sandwich handset is expected to launch as the next Nexus device with Android 2.4 and monstrous 4.65-inch 720p HD display.

Other tech offerings expected to be made by Samsung at this year’s IFA expo include a revamped 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab with the second-generation device to boast a Retina style display.
