Samsung Galaxy SIII sales hit 30m

While 64GB model becomes available for pre-order

Samsung has announced its flagship Galaxy SIII handset has hit 30m sales since launching five months ago

The Samsung Galaxy S3 first appeared in May and has been the weapon of choice for Android fans since its introduction. It even picked up the award for Phone of the Year at the T3 Gadget Awards 2012.

"Meeting this sales milestone in five months sets another record for Samsung, and we are extremely proud yet motivated to provide our customers with products that they love," said Samsung IT and Mobile communications president JK Shin.

What's more, the 64GB version of the handset has finally arrived for pre-order in the UK and can be picked up at online retailer Clove for a cool £600 including VAT.

If on the other hand you're looking for a smaller slice of Galaxy action, then there's also the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, which is due to launch in the next few days.
