Samsung drops U3

New mini MP3 comes stuffed with plenty of goodies.

Festivals might be the ideal place to soak up tons of music. But when you're huddled in your tent with only the dull thud of the dance tent for company, then you need your own tracks to drown out the noise.

Step forward then Samsung's all new U3. Usurping its older U2 sibling, the dinky new MP3 player packs 4GB for you to stash away up to 1,000 songs. It's a mere 25mm tall, so will slip easily into your pocket. Just make sure you don't lose it when being subjected to 'forward drum'n'bass' at 4am.

You can also record up to 33 hours of your own voice, meaning you can 'go bootleg' and record your favourite gigs of the day before retiring to your tent. And if that doesn't take your fancy, then there's always the inbuilt FM radio

For the style conscious among you, there are five different colours to choose from. Plain old white and black, or more fetching blue, pink and green.
