Samsung brings the internet to your plasma TV

Samsung to announce partnership with Yahoo for Widget Channel at IFA this week.

It just makes sense doesn't it? The internet on your massive TV. However, this rather obvious transition has, until now, eluded the tech world.

Now Samsung and Yahoo are planning to change all that by making TV "the centre of your home network" with the Widget Channel.

Set to be announced at IFA in Berlin later this week, the Widget Channel will house small scale internet applications like news and weather right inside your gorgeous plasma screen.

You'll be able to connect your TV to your home broadband connection through an ethernet port or a special wireless adaptor you can fit to your set.
