Developer Rovio has expanded on its recent Angry Birds Space release with a new free update adding 10 additional levels to the intergalactic bird-flinging mega app in the form of the ‘Fry me to the Moon’ download.
Follow-on to the trio of avian themed applications, Angry Birds Space landed in the shadows of past successes in the form of the globally dominant original Angry Birds app, often updated spinoff Angry Birds Seasons and Movie tie-in Angry Birds Rio.
Available as a free update to existing Angry Birds Space owners across all platforms, Rovio has hinted at the selection of new levels being on rather tricky side announcing: “A new moon rises and puts pigs in motion. If you thought it was hard to pop pigs in space before, just wait ‘til they’re orbiting around the icy planets in these 10 new levels.”
Rewarding iPhone and iPad touting iOS app gamers for shooting Angry Birds Space direct to the top of the download charts following its release earlier this year, Rovio has confirmed it will offer Apple branded users 20 free level assisting space eagles for free.
"As a thank you to our fans for 20 million Angry Birds Space downloads in the first week, we're also including 20 free space eagles on iOS,” a Rovio spokesperson said. iOS users can acquire one free space eagle a day for the next 20 days they sign into the game.
