RFly.me launches URL shortening app for iPhone

Helping mobile tweeters stay under the 140 characters

Handy free service lands on the App Store.

A new URL shortening service has launched a new app for iPhone, allowing on-the-go users to easily share links through Twitter and email.

The RFly.me app is free to download from the App Store and is the debut application from the fledgling bit.ly rival RazorFly limited.

Using iOS 4's multitasking capabilities, users can copy the link from their browsers and open the app. Once they've copied in and shortened, it's easy to share via Twitter, email or SMS. Sadly there's no Facebook compatibility.

The app itself is pretty nifty looking, with some psychedelic backgrounds, that look a little like Jimi Hendrix's wallpaper, and with an easy to use interface it's a welcome addition to the App Store.
