Respawn Entertainment, the gaming developer formed by the creators of the global-conquering Call Of Duty franchise, have announced they will be attending the E3 video games Expo in Los Angeles this year. Respawn co-founder, Vince Zampella broke the news on his Twitter account yesterday, hinting that the developer may even have a new game to unveil.
"I’ve gotten a ‘few’ questions about E3 Expo plans this year. Yes, we will finally be at E3," Zampella tweeted. "I have no intention of showing up empty handed. I can’t say anything else right now,"
Zampella formed Respawn Entertainment with Jason West, after they left Infinity Ward a couple of months after the release of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Tthe pair of them then became ebroiled in a lengthy legal battle with Activision, suing their former publisher for unfair dismissal. Activision, for its part, counter-sued, claiming that West and Zampella had been in secret negotiations with rival publisher Electronic Arts. All parties have since settled out of court.
The E3 Expo is set to take place in Los Angeles between the 11th and 13th of June.
