Bringing real-time interactive questions to the upcoming tournament RBS has released the Six Nations Live Challenge app for iOS and Android
Ahead of tomorrow’s start to the 2012 Six Nations rugby tournament, title sponsor RBS has released an all new interactive in-game companion app with the RBS 6 Nations Live Challenge available to download now for iOS and Android devices.
Allowing users to play along during all 15 games of this year’s tournament the RBS 6 Nations Live Challenge app will see fans of the oval ball tasked with answering a host of rugby-based trivia questions during the course of a match as well as predicting the outcome of a number of dead ball situations.
RBS 6 Nations Live Challenge Features
Available for iPhone and iPad users as well as those rugby fans touting an Android handset or signed up to Facebook, the RBS 6 Nations Live Challenge app activates 40 minutes prior to each match with a host of pre-game questions further bolstered by real-time challenges following kick-off.
With questions moulded in real-time around the live in-game action users will be tasked with predicting the outcome of all penalties, conversions, five metres scrums and line outs with points awarded for correct answers.
“The exciting new rugby app puts fans at the centre of the action throughout the Championship,” an officially RBS spokesperson said. “Rugby fans can play against their mates (via logging in through Facebook) or against all users, competing to get their name at the top of the leader board.”
Allowing users to monitor their progress against all other users the app-based quiz will offer instant percentage feedback showing the exact distribution of answers across the multiple choice questions.
