An unusual iPhone 4 handset has appeared for auction on eBay, claiming to be an unreleased test unit
Rare iPhone 4 prototype appears on eBay
The ever-so-slightly different model appears to be running Apple’s software testing suite, Switchboard. It also sports a different backing that clamps to the body without screws on the bottom.
The logo on the back looks to be the same one we saw when pictures of the iPhone 4 first surfaced on the web, with the word 'Prototype' clearly written along the bottom of the back panel.
Bidding opens at $4,500 (£2,846) for the 32GB model, with a $10,000 (£6,325) Buy It Now price - making it the perfect gift for only the world's most die hard Apple fan.
