QualComm: 1.2GHz coming out early 2011 not 1.5GHz

1.2GHz in 2011 Q1, 1.5Ghz in 2011 Q4

What we'd think of as warp speed in smartphones isn't as close as we thought

We thought QualComm was giving us 1.5GHz processor chips in Q4 of 2010. However, there seems to be a slight miscommunication.

Apparently, it's the 1.2GHz dual-core chips that will be arriving at the end of 2010, or Q1 2011, not the 1.5GHz.

As far as the release of the 1.5GHz processor chips are concerned, that's been corrected to the end of 2011, which makes our wait longer than we'd hoped for.

According to TechRadar, the 1.5GHz chip will be sent to phone brands by the end of 2010, when they can start trials on what can be done with the chip before releasing it to users hungry for lightning fast smartphones.
