Will Sony's giveaway be enough to tempt back disgruntled gamers?
Sony has detailed its PSN Welcome Back package, which it hopes will go some way towards appeasing customers affected by the online service’s lengthy outage. Free games, PS Plus membership, Qriocity streaming and rental movies have all been promised.
PS3 users can choose to download two games from a lists of five: Dead Nation, inFAMOUS, LittleBigPlanet, Super Stardust HD and Wipeout HD Fury. PSP owners can snag two freebies from LittleBigPlanet, ModNation Racers, Pursuit Force and Killzone Liberation.
On top of the gratis games, Sony says users will be able to view one movie free from its video rental service. PlayStation Plus members get an extra 60 days free membership, with Qriocity Music Unlimited Premium punters entitled to 30 days for nothing. PS Home users will be able to grab hold of 100 items of free virtual content too.
Whether such an array of goodies can convince gamers that PSN is back on track remains to be seen. Have you taken advantage of any of these offers? Or have you ditched your PS3 and got an Xbox 360 instead? Let us know now on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
