PS4 release plans to be unveiled at Gamescom next week
Sony has announced that it will be unveiling release plans for PlayStation 4, as well as news on PS3 and PS Vita at Gamescom later this week
Gamescom, Europe's biggest gaming convention, will be given the gift of long-awaited release plans by Sony for next-gen console, the PlayStation 4.
The trade fair will host Sony's press conference which has promised, via. their official UK site, that on 20th August they will brief media on release plans for the PS4, "as well as updates on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
Hosted in the Koelnmesse, Cologne, the conference will be available to watch live online via eu.playstation.com/gamescom.
People interested in watching the announcements can also keep an eye on the Playstation Blog and Playstation Community.
Not long to wait for release plans as Sony will reveal all on Tuesday.
The show kicks off at 18:00 BST (1PM EDT, 10AM PDT).
Since the PS4 was officially unveiled the next-gen console has only been coined for release during 'Holiday 2013'.
Gaming website Kotaku reported earlier this year that a reliable industry source had hinted towards a release date in November for the US.
Sony's PS4 will go on sale for £349 ($399) with a new console design, unrestricted access to pre-owned games, 8GB memory, PlayStation Camera, Dual Shock 4 controllers with touch pad and rumble features plus much more.
