Sony finally rolls out PS3 3.50 update

Latest firmware lest you spy 3D flicks using your PS3. 3DTV not included.

Sony has finally unleashed its much-vaunted PS3 Blu-ray 3D playback update, letting you watch the latest three dimensional flicks using your Sony console.

The firmware boost, dubbed 3.50, landed overnight, having initially been slated to land in Japan on 21 September and then begin rolling out globally.

If you’ve got a PS3 and a 3D TV, all you need to do is check for updates and your home hub will gain the new features. The upgrade also packs tighter Facebook integration with PS3 games, lettings devs build in new ways of sharing into the latest titles.
