Gingerbread-powered smartphone to get outing at MWC 2011
The Sony PlayStation Phone which is set to be available to consumers in March 2011 according to sources within Sony Ericsson.
The release month information revealed to IT Pro Portal, also confirmed that it will be present at Cebit 2011 and Mobile World Congress in February next year.
Expected to run on Android 2.3, the PlayStation Phone which could be renamed the Sony Ericsson Z1, is likely to feature a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 processor, a 8GB microSD slot, 512MB of RAM and a sizeable 4-inch display.
An event scheduled to take place in France tomorrow is expected to give us our first glimpse at the gaming smartphone which the invitation says will be the “the most awaited event of the past 10 years.”
We'll be keeping an eye on things in France to let you know if the PlayStation Phone does indeed surface.
