Pimp your Xbox 360

Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat, please put a wireless steering wheel in the old man's hat.

At least that's the song Microsoft is singing as it gears up the launch of a whole new set of kit for the Xbox 360.

First up is the chance to pimp your Xbox 360, assuming you're a fan of the Viva Piñata and Halo games.

New faceplates will throw a little Master Chief or cartoon donkey on your system for the bargain price of £14.99.

Slightly more exciting is the wireless headset, which for £34.99 frees you up to wander further than the length of a cable while you're chatting on Xbox live.

Those two items are available on the 17 and 24 November respectively, but it's the 1 December that will have speed demons and movie fans champing at the bit.

That's the date that the Xbox 360 Wireless Wheel (89.99) and the HD DVD Player (129.99) hit the shops.

The Wireless Wheel aims to thrill, with its force feedback jolting your body when you go offroad.

It also comes with a limited edition of Project Gotham Racing 3 for a limited time.

The HD DVD drive also plans to provide some shakes, with early shoppers getting a HD DVD copy of Peter Jackson's King Kong, as well as the Universal Remote Control.
