Phones4U offer free PlayBook with BlackBerry Q10 pre-orders

Tempt you with a tablet?

Phones4U is offering a free BlackBerry PlayBook to the first 300 pre-orders of the company's new Q10 smartphone

If you're still undecided on whether the new BlackBerry Q10 smartphone is for you, consider this: Phones4U is throwing in a free PlayBook for the first 300 pre-orders.

The retailer is prepared to part with a 64GB version of the BlackBerry tablet if you're one of the first to buy the keyboard-toting Q10.

While the Q10 will arrive with BlackBerry's latest operating system, the PlayBook remains un-upgraded, despite the Canadian company insisting a patch is on the way.

Phones4U was the first UK seller to stock the earlier BlackBerry Z10 and said it experienced: "an exceptional response to the smartphone in both its white and black variants."

The company is no doubt hoping the offer will spark the same kind of interest in the Q10, which touches down at the end of April at a SIM-free price of £549.95 or free on a £36 per-month contract.

BlackBerry has already shipped one million Z10 handsets, but still has a long way to go to challenge forthcoming smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S4 or the rumoured iPhone 5S.
