Hot on the heels of last week’s teaser trailer developer Konami has officially unveiled the upcoming PES 2013 gaming release with the latest addition to the football sim franchise confirmed for an autumn arrival.
Longstanding rival of the dominant FIFA franchise, Pro Evolution Soccer is set to return for another year with PES 2013 to return to the series’ roots and focus with improved ball control and player skill sets combining to provide a touted “unprecedented level of control.”
“This is an exciting time to be part of the PES community, and PES 2013 marks a new level of playability with the return to our key ethos of utter control and freedom,” said Jon Murphy, European PES Team Leader.
He added: “Football is all about making magic happen with skill and precision, and PES 2013 truly encapsulates this. Fresh faces within the development team and some very exciting ideas will breathe new life into the PES series, and we look forward to showing what we can do in the coming months.”
PES 2013 Features
Focusing the upcoming title around three core pillars of improvement, entitled “PES FullControl, Player ID, and ProActive AI,” the latest football title will feature a higher degree of realism than ever before with every aspect of a match from the keeper to first touch control coming in for an update.
With dynamic first touch features paired with full manual shooting and passing modes, gamers will be able to take a more in-depth and controlling approach to gameplay with full manual one-two and responsive defending further adding to the fray.
Ensuring gamers are able to distinguish their favourite footballers in the hoard of on-pitch activity, Konami has also promised PES 2013 will sport improved player individuality.
PES 2013 Release Date
Set to touch down on the usual array of platforms, Konami has confirmed that PES 2013 will launch for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC with PSP and PS2 options also set to be made available.
Whist the Japanese developer has yet to give a precise PES 2013 UK release date, Konami has confirmed, somewhat unsurprisingly that the PES 2012 follow-on will touch down during “autumn 2012.”
