Pay as you go Apple iPhone launched
Want an iPhone but not the contract? Here's the answer...
It’s been a long time coming, but Apple have finally unleashed a PAYG iPhone for the masses.
Say goodbye to hefty long-term contracts, the iPhone 3G is now available from O2 stores or online.
Apple is charging £342.50 for the 8GB version and £391.45 for the 16GB (the latter is available in both black and white).
Although buyers will have to use O2’s Pay & Go service, the iPhone 3G comes bundled with a generous 12 months of unlimited web browsing via 3G and Wi-Fi.

I thought it was weird as well when I got the email about this today. I was sure that PAYG for the iphone was available when the 3G was launched as O2 said we could pass our 2G iphone to a PAYG user.maybe this is PAYG for the 3G, or maybe the news has been delayed by leaves on the line!

This is weird - I bought a PAYG iPhone on 16 Sept when it was launched - are they launching it again, or is this an old Press Release? BTW iPhone on PAYG is an excellent option - I get all the Cloud and BT Openzone Wi-Fi hotspots included and 300 free texts per month of it top up £10 - sweet :)
