Updated 3D offering upscales your movies to full HD

Panasonic was first on the scene with 3d Blu-Ray with the DMP-BDT300, launched earlier this year. Now the range has been added to with the BDT100, an altogether similar beast, but with a few tricks up its sleeve.

The most notable improvement is the boot-up time, which is now a paltry 0.5 seconds. While we’re not sure about Panasonic’s claims that ‘movies can now be enjoyed with less stress’ by association, it’s still a nice touch. Also onboard is the new P4HD Enhanced Full HD Upsampling feature, which promises to buff your standard-def DVDs into a full HD sheen.

Other than that the DMP-BDT100 is business as usual, with an admirable raft of Panasonic’s 3D HD know-how gone into producing pristine 3D images and smooth playback, plus synching with your home network setup with an optional LAN adaptor.
