Palm Pre unlocked phones being sold at eXpansys for £499.99

It's only just launched here in the UK, and sadly is exclusive to the mobile network O2 - but online retailer gaint eXpansys has started stocking unlocked Palm Pres for just £499.99. That means you can use the Palm Pre with whatever network you want, such as Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone, 3 or Virgin Mobile.

eXpansys says within the description that "These units are factory unlocked and work on any UK network. The packaging has some O2 branding but the device is purely Palm-branded. A full English manual can be downloaded here".

"This device is supplied network-unlocked, i.e. you can use this device with a SIM card from any UK or European GSM network (e.g. Vodafone, T-Mobile, O2 etc)."

The Palm Pre runs on Palm's new software named webOS, which offers a completely new mobile experience to users, touchable on the 3.1-inch screen. Internally, the Pre has 8GB of storage, 3.0-megapixel camera, GPS and the usual host of multimedia functions.
