Nokia to unveil Windows RT tablet next month
Leaked images have hinted that Nokia is preparing to launch a Windows RT tablet.
Sources close to the phone maker have said that Nokia is planning on holding a special event next month, reports Digi Wo. It is expected that the company will use the event in New York to launch the new tablet.
According to reports, the event is scheduled to take place on September 26th.
The tablet is believed to be codenamed Vanquish and run Windows RT. Under the hood it is rumoured to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor.

If the leaked image is genuine, then it would appear it will come with LTE support. The leaked image also shows that the device will be available for US network horizon, suggesting that Nokia’s focus will be on mobile phone shops, rather than through electronics retailers.
No other details about the tablet were made available.

Earlier this month, Asus announced that it was dropping the operating system. Rival Acer has also made suggestions that it will drop the operating system if Microsoft does not improve support for it.
Graphic card maker Nvidia also revealed earlier this month that Microsoft is working on a second generation Surface tablet – despite having to write off nearly $1 billion in projected sales after predicted demand failed to materialise.
