Slide to left, slide to the front... new Nokia handsets do the ChaCha slide

We may still be waiting for the Nokia N8 to rock up but that hasn’t stopped the rumour-mongers scouring yonder distance for sight of the Nokia N9 handset and spotting what could be a legit leaked video of the MeeGo touting smartphone.

Although there has been no official word from Nokia regarding the video and certainly no confirmed specs list, the handset in the promo-video (available below) looks to be a sleekly designed model sporting a slide-out QWERTY keyboard with shallow rubber or plastic keys.

Whilst it does have a distinct Nokia feel to it, at present we are not sure whether the video is a genuine Nokia promo or nothing more than a high quality mock-up.

Although the Nokia N9 is remaining in the lands of rumour and speculation, albeit with one foot out the door, one Nokia handset that is now a reality is the Nokia X5, a square vertical slider boasting a full QWERTY keyboard.

The Symbian 3 handset hosts a 2.36-inch screen with a 5-megapixel camera and an accelerometer allowing for ‘spin to skip’ music selection in which you literally spin the phone to skip a track. Due for European release around the autumn, the tiny square handset is set to cost around 165 Euros.
