Nokia Maps web app updated for iOS and Android

App now compatible with iPhone and Android phones

Nokia has put the finishing touches to its Apple and Android compatible web app for Nokia Maps, letting you use a fully functional version of Maps via the browser

Nokia Maps Web app has been available online for iPhone 4S and Android Smartphones for a while now but has now received a new update which will bring voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation to the smartphones.

By heading over to m.maps.nokia.com on an iOS device or Android smartphone the user is then able to access a completely free version of Nokia Maps right within the browser.

Adding voice-guided navigation is a clear step by Nokia to gain some ground over the non web apps that already provide those services, but of course, still need internet.

Nokia Maps is already available as a non web app for all Nokia Windows Phone handsets such as the Nokia Lumia 800 and with Nokia Drive those users also get a dedicated turn-by-turn navigation app.

The web app is available to use now and is compatible with all iOS devices and Android smartphones including those running Ice Cream Sandwich such as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
