Nokia launches the Home Music internet radio

Well, we all got excited over the N97 yesterday, leaving other Nokia launches to get lost in the ether. Like the Nokia Home Music.

An interesting departure for Nokia, producing a bedside radio with a colourful interface and built-in Wi-Fi, which means the wonderful world of internet radio is at your fingertips and available to gently shake you out of bed. Or if you fancy something more familiar, there's always good old FM.

It also fires a few podcasts your way, accesses your PC (or networked drive) for digital music and with a pile of connectivity, you can add extra devices and drives to take advantage of the built-in speaker. But with just 10w of output, it's probably not worth the effort.

No news of a price of shelf date as yet, but we like the idea of Nokia gettingout of our pockets and into our homes. The bluetooth toaster can only be a matter of months away.
