Nokia E6: new image outed

QWERTY phone spied after specs revealed

New Symbian interface sitting pretty on updated email workhorse.

Symbian might be ailing as a platform, but Nokia hasn’t abandoned its creaking smartphone OS completely. The Nokia E6, spotted and detailed back in January, has just posed for a new spy shot and appears to come rocking an updated version of the old-school operating system.

The E6 rocks new Symbian icons, with four rather than three homescreens. The subtle changes tie into a recent leak which showed a Nokia exec touting an updated edition of Symbian at a developer meeting.

Specs-wise, the Nokia E6 pairs a QWERTY keyboard with a 2.8-inch, 640x480 touchscreen and an 8 megapixel camera. With specs and pics already out in the wild, chances are Nokia won’t take long to release this slick new effort.
