Nokia 5730 XpressMusic, 5330 XpressMusic and 5030 get UK launch

Something old, something new and even something blue

Nokia is giving a seasonal push to its Comes With Music service with three new, music-driven handsets for the UK market, the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic, 5330 XpressMusic and 5030. It's just a shame that two of the phones have been seen before. Still, at least they're here now.

Yes, you might just recall the top-end Nokia 5730 XpressMusic from back in January, when it appeared in infinite detail on a Russian website. Now it's in the UK, still optimised for Comes With Music and still with that slide-out full QWERTY keyboard (complete with dot matrix symbols). There's also an all-new homescreen mixing music with social networking. That means easy access to Facebook, photos, Ovi Contacts and messaging, along with quick play of your freshly-downloaded tunes. And if that's not enough, the 5730 also throws in N-Gage gaming (with dedicated gaming keys) and GPS. Yours for 280 Euros sim-free from late summer. But we suspect free with a contract from several networks too.

If that's a little rich for your blood, maybe the Nokia 5330 XpressMusic will cater for your musical needs. It's more of a 'show' phone, complete with 'top-sliced' slider design and 'illumination effects', but still offers downloads aplenty via Comes With Music, along with  'crystal clear' sound, easy social network access and a very long battery life - 26 hours of playback, you'll be pleased to know. 160 Euros will secure you one without a contract, again from late summer.

Last (and certainly least) is the Nokia 5030. Again, a phone that's been offered for sale elsewhere in the world previously, this really is your average entry-level phone, with FM radio the big selling point here. And to be honest, pretty much the only one. Aside from that, all the basics are covered, there are two colour choices and with an asking price of 40 Euros, you'll not be heartbroken if you lost it on a night out. Look out for this in Europe from the middle of summer.
