DSi gets kitted out in some serious Wario clobber

While gamers over in Japan consume their first few days of DSi playtime, over on Western shores we must contend with sitting patiently until the summer of 2009 before we can get our hands on Nintendo's latest handheld offering.

What scant DSi-deprived comfort we can offer you arrives in the shape of some brand new WarioWare action to get your portable gaming teeth into.

Utilizing some of the new DSi features, the latest WarioWare is being designed to feature through the DSi's new download platform.

Loyal DS fans need not despair at the very thought of being left out in the Wario cold, as the DS-aimed WarioWare: Myself is also being pencilled in for release. More of a general mini-game, 'Myself' will allow players to create their own games and trade them around like a pack of cartoon inspired battle cards.

The new WarioWare title has been marked for a December launch in Japan, so for U.K gamers that will probably mean seeing Wario rear his ugly Mario-hating head some time next year.
