Google-Nexus-One

Welcome to your nightly roundup of the day's news, reviews and goings on courtesy of T3.com.

Search engine giants Google has shocked many tech fans today as the company’s big dog CEO, Eric Schmidt openly declared that there would be no squeal to the flagship mobile handset from Google and thus ending rumours of a Google Nexus Two device. Whilst Schmidty was ending one aspect of the Google global dominance, the company’s UK chief exec, Matt Brittin was furthering speculation of the Google Me social networking site by stating that Facebook was not beyond reach.

Good gaming news put a smile on our faces in T3 towers today.  Activision, creators of the new Goldeneye remake for the Nintendo Wii gave us an oh-so-tasty treat with the revelation that the famous tank chase level getting an ‘epic’ overhaul. It was also good news for Microsoft in the games industry as the Xbox makers reported huge opening sales of the new Xbox 360 Slim in the States.

HTC’s mobile market share looks set to continue to rise following the hazardous start to life for the Apple iPhone 4. To keep tabs on the other mobile big players, HTC, in collaboration with network providers T-Mobile, has reduced the price of the hugely successful HTC Desire handset. Elsewhere in the world of HTC, new leaked images of a potential HTC Vision slider have been spotted bringing a tasty insight to the next Android touting blower from the Taiwanese company.

Apple makes headlines be they good or bad on a far too frequent basis. Today, surprise, surprise was no different. Whilst good news came in the possible arrival of pressure-sensitive controls for the iPad and the potential introduction of the iOS4 operating system on Apple TV devices, the Cupertino company looks like it has been fibbing about some gruff and hasty emails from its god-like leader Steve Jobs. Having declared heartless emails sent regarding customers iPhone 4 concerns were fake, it now looks like Steve Jobs penned, well, typed the responses himself and can now be seen wondering around with a Pinokeo esq nose. To settle the Apple argument, we bring you a poll for your opinion on Apple's approach to the iPhone 4 issues.
