iPhone 4 issues have taken the shine off its official release somewhat, and my oh my, where do we start? Perhaps most significantly, the revelations of huge signal loss problems which result from simply holding the phone have come as a bit of a kick in the teeth. Worry not though, as a £25 Bumper casing accessory seems to solve the problem. But wait, there’s more. It turns out that the supposedly super-strength screen of the iPhone 4 will indeed be smashed into smithereens if you drop it. On purpose. Four times. Shock horror. Hardly surprising but still, not really ideal when you think how many times you’ll fumble it to the ground in a drunken stupor over the course of your contract. On top of all this, white iPhone 4 deliveries have been delayed for another month, pushing them back to the second half of July, and you, our dear readers have told us that ruddy heck, iOS 4 really does slow down your iPhone. It’s not all bad though, as Apple have launched the iMovies app for editing videos on the iPhone 4, giving you the chance to make all those iPhone 4-rage videos look delightfully professional.

Gaming news has seen Microsoft blasting a bullet in the direction of their doubters by hinting at the release of motion-cap first-person shooters on the Xbox Kinect in the future. Also, look no further for the ultimate boys toy, as Parrot has officially unveiled its augmented reality quadricopter in the UK. It’s been given an August 18th launch date making the UK the drone’s first landing.

The mobile world didn’t entirely stand still to watch in awe of the Apple iPhone 4 release, as Nokia’s C3 social budget handset has landed on Vodafone for the pocket-pleasing sum of £80, and Motorola’s Droid X has been officially unveiled ready for a July release in the US.
