Five years of waiting is over, Gran Turismo is now officially in stores up and down the country. Before it hit shelves, however, Sony was forced to release a patch for the repeatedly delayed game as it had omitted the code allowing gamers to access the title's online content from the disk copies. To keep you up to date with the ups and downs of the new Gran Turismo title, we have the T3 Gran Turismo 5 full review. Apple iPad updates have seen the market leading tablet add an additional shiny star to its belt from the T3 reviews in the Apple iPad with iOS 4.2 review giving it a full five-star sweep. Despite adding version 4.2 just this week, the iPad could soon be in line for another update as Apple iOS 4.3 is expected to launch in December, that's right, in just a few short weeks time. Elsewhere on the Apple tablet front, the Cupertino company is giving away 100 free Apple iPads to its Twitter followers. How very generous.

New Angry Birds releases are the talk of app town as the Rovio published superstar of the app world is confirmed to gearing up for the festive period with an Angry Birds Christmas edition due to launch on December 11th, coinciding with the first annual Angry Birds day. In other app-based news, Coca-Cola has launch the first location-based app game in Coke Zero LiveCycle a where players compete in a TRON Legacy styled virtual location game.

Acer product unveilings kicked the day into action this morning as news filtered through from a bevy of new and exciting Acer items. First off the bat were the two new Android powered Acer tablets, 7- and 10.1-inch models capable of 1080p video playback, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity and the upcoming Andorid 3.0 Honeycomb OS set to launch early in the New Year. These were followed by the Acer 'next generation smartphone' a 4.8-inch device that is described as "100% smartphone, 100% tablet", well Acer the proof is in the pudding, and that Android influenced desert is due April 2011.
