Toshiba set to take second bite at tablet cherry with newly designed effort.
New Toshiba Android tablet: slimline slate set for IFA
Toshiba is set to reveal a new, super-slim Android tablet at IFA, the German gadget trade show which kicks off later this week. The new slate will replace the Thrive, which received mixed reviews thanks to average design and its chunky size.
The next-gen tab, spied by Notebook Italia, will tote micro SD, micro USB and micro HDMI, as well as a front-facing camera for gTalk video chat sessions. A 1.5GHz processor should ensure things move at lightning speed.
Other specs remain thin on the ground, but all will be revealed in Berlin by the end of the week. Toshiba will have to ensure this really is top notch, especially with the iPad 2 running away with the tablet lead and a slew of other killer tablets expected at the show.
We’ll be on the floor at IFA, bringing you all the latest news and gossip as it happens. Stay tuned here and to our Facebook and Twitter feeds for up to the minute updates.
