New Sony Walkman A series leaked slips out details of new high-end PMP

OLED screen and aluminium finish for iPod touch rival.

Sony’s new A series Walkman has been unceremoniously leaked ahead of its official unveiling, apparently due later this week. The culprit is, which has shown off full specs and images of the new device.

The NWZ-A860, to give it its mealy-mouthed official moniker, comes with a 3.4-inch OLED touchscreen, a redesigned set of button controls and an aluminium finish. Word is it’ll also have “wireless music streaming”, although this is believed to utilise Bluetooth, not Wi-Fi.

iTunes compatibility, FM radio and lyric display have all been crammed into this iPod touch-botherer too. There are set to be four variants of the new A series, with 8, 16, 32 and 64GB models available.
