A little over a year after Gran Turismo 5 shook off countless delays and numerous issues to finally make it to stores Sony has revealed it is to release a follow-up title with Gran Turismo 5 Spec II being officially unveiled.

Compiling the original title with a selection of post release add-ons to a single disc, Gran Turismo 5 Spec II is to host the full GT5 game alongside the title’s version 2.00 update released in early October as well as the Complete Pack DLC launched later the same month.

Gran Turismo 5 Spec II Release Date

Currently confirmed only for Sony’s native Japan the advanced version of the super realistic racing sim is to launch early in the New Year with a Gran Turismo 5 Spec II release date set for February 2nd.

With a GT5 Spec II price set at 4,980, around the £40 mark, the title will be shown off at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month with any potential UK release date likely to come no earlier than March 2012.
