Open world game slips due to "competitive Christmas market".
Ubisoft has pushed back the release of the new Driver game, Driver: San Francisco, until 2011, blaming Christmas competition for the move.
The game had originally been slated to land on all platforms on 26 November, but now the developer is being coy about when exactly we’ll see the title that wowed the crowds at E3 this year.
Competition is likely to come from all angles, not least Microsoft and Sony’s assaults on the casual gamer with Kinect and Move respectively.
However, it’s still a shame that one of the most anticipated titles of 2010 has been forced back. Will you still be holding out for Driver: San Francisco in spite of the delay? Tell us now on Facebook or Twitter.
