New Apple MacBook 2013 range to get a Retina Display?

Changes to OS X suggest that Apple is preparing their most impressive MacBook yet

With both the iPhone 4S and the New iPad featuring the dazzling Retina Display technology it was surely just a matter of time before the MacBook range was next

The Apple MacBook 2013 range could well be getting Rentina Display screens with subtle changes in the latest version of OS X hinting towards the operating system being prepared for an iPhone 4S level of clarity.

AppleInsider dug deep into the latest OS X update and found that Apple had increased the resolution of the TextEdit icon to double that of its previous size bumping it up to 1.7MB in size.

While this may not sound like much it's the first step that would be needed to accomodate the mighty pixel density that is found on Apple's Retina Displays.

There have been reports from developers that icons in the Apple Mac OS X Mountain Lion beta have also received the same treatment almost doubling in size adding fuel to the fire that Apple is indeed prepping a 300dpi+ screen for the Apple MacBook Pro and Apple MacBook Air.
