Apple have announced that the new iMac refresh will be available to buy from Friday 30th November, the iMac 2012 comes with a whole raft of improvements.

The new iMac was unveiled in October alongside the new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display the new iMac boasts an incredibly thin body and blends a new design with new features.

Apple iMac 2012 specs:

Intel i5 and i7 quad-core processors are available along with 8GB of RAM making it more than capable of tackling any task despite its super-slim size.

Despite those beefy specs the iMac 2012 still manages to slim down to just 5mm while Apple have completely redesigned the way they build the display which has resulted in a 75 per cent drop in glare.

Most notable will be the new Fusion Drive which combines the speed and effeciency of an SSD with the huge storage capabilities of a conventional hard disk.

Apple have fused a 128GB SSD with either a 1TB or 3TB HDD creating a hyrbrid drive which shares the load using the SSD to keep things fast. There's also four USB 3.0 ports and a HD FaceTime camera for video calls.

The iMac 2012 will be available from Friday 30th November with prices starting at £1,099 for the 21.5-inch model while the 27-inch model is available from £1,499.
