New HTC smartphones on the way
HTC's plans for Mobile World Congress 2011 appear to be unravelling just days before the expo kicks off as details emerge on the Desire 2, Desire HD and Wildfire 2.
Pocketnow who first hinted that a Desire 2 and was on the HTC agenda, appear to have stumbled on specs for the trio of handsets which look likely to be unveiled at an event scheduled for February 14th.
The first HTC Desire was successsfully launched at last year's MWC, and the follow-up to the Desire looks set to follow suit powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm 8250 SnapDragon processor and hosting a 3.7-inch Super LCD display. Other specs include a 5-megapixel front camera, 2-megapixel rer-facing camera, HD video recording, 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal memory.
Details of the HD Desire HD 2 suggest it could be the star of the show with a 1.2GHz (Dual Core) Qualcomm SnapDragon processor under the bonnet, a 8-megapixel camera, 512MB RAM and 8GB internal memory amongst its most notable specs.
The HTC Wildfire 2 which looked to have already been spotted in a HTC promotional video, will sport a 3.2-inch TFT display and pack a 600Mhz MSM 7227 processor. Other notable features include a 5-megapixel camera, HD video recording (720p), 384MB RAM, however there are no details regarding internal memory.
With three handsets seemingly outed ahead of the February 14th event, that leaves us to be amazed by the much rumoured HTC Flyer tablet, a slew of HTC Facebook phones, and possibly a button-less smartphone.
