Amazon's new service brings mSpot out swinging.
mSpot hits back in fight with Amazon Cloud Player
With Amazon’s Cloud Drive and Cloud Player digital locker services grabbing the headlines this week, smaller rivals have been struggling to prove why they’re worth going with over the online retail giant.
mSpot is the first to try and go toe-to-toe with Amazon, revealing that it’s upped its free storage offering to 5GB, matching the amount you get with Cloud Drive. Previously, punters had only got 2GB for nowt.
mSpot is yet to launch here in the UK, although it has said it plans to bring its service to these shores in 2011. If Amazon does the same, you can bet it’ll have a struggle on its hands to compete.
