Motorstorm: Apocalypse details unveiled

Third in racing series due to land early next year

New title set in earthquake-hit city promise to be every bit as good as first two PS3 outings.

Sony has handed over details of Motorstorm: Apocalypse, the third in its PS3 exclusive racing series, ahead of E3 next week.

The latest edition of the killer game is set in a city on the west coast of the USA, following a massive earthquake. You need to get your motor round a string of courses in good shape, avoiding attacks from the private militias which roam the streets.

Brilliantly, you won’t just be racing on seismically shattered roads, with the chance to zip across collapsed buildings and down towers while they’re falling apart beneath you.

Perhaps best of all, you’ll be to make your own custom races which you’ll then be able to upload and share with your pals online. Evolution, the people behind Motorstorm: Apocalypse, have said the game will arrive early next year, but wisely refused to give over a specific date.
