It comes after the firm sent out a save the date invite to media, including T3, inviting them to a special event at London’s Victoria House.

Both the Motorola and Intel logo were printed on the invite -pictured above.

The two firms announced their partnership at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show.

Technology newswire VentureBeat picked up on a Twitter hashtag, #motoedge, sparking rumours the handset will be called the Motorola Edge.

If the reports prove to be accurate, it will be a huge move for both companies; For one, Motorola, which is struggling to boost its smartphone market share, and Intel, because it will jump into an area currently dominated by its rival ARM.
