Motorola Droid Pro coming to European shores

Can the Droid Pro vie for affections of BB users?

Motorola's Berry-a-like to arrive on European shores.

The Droid Pro has been out in the States since November 2010, but the embargo is to be lifted at an unspecified point in the near future for those European business users for whom the humble BlackBerry is too pedestrian. The Droid Pro packs a physical keyboard, 1GHz processor, 2GB of memory and Android 2.2 FroYo, as well as that business community must-have: the 3G mobile hotspot for up to five devices for strategising and synergising on the go.

Media features are, as you might expect, a little stripped back, with a modest 3.1-inch screen and a humble 5MP camera (with dual-LED flash). However, fittingly it comes with all manner of business related wizardry including pre-installed QuickOffice, a selection of e-mail software and security features such as remote wipe and what Motorola call "complex password support". But will that be enough to tempt Berry users away from their signature smartphones? Only serious Android aficionados, we reckon.
