Motorola and Nokia are both expected to reveal their next-generation devices at separate events in New York.

But there's one minor problem though: both will be held on the same day and in close proximity to each other - as illustrated above.

Earlier today, Motorola sent out 'save the date' invites to American journalists for September 5, which is about six days from the suspected iPhone 5 launch.

Now journalists and other important folk must decide whether they want to attend Moto's big bash or Nokia's Windows 8 shindig - eitherway, both firms must now focus on filling up their guestlists.

Moto is expected to launch two new handsets; the Razr HD and Razr Maxx HD, while Nokia is expected to introduce a series of tablets and smartphones that are powered by Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system.
