Motorola tablet family set to swell with more 'fun' slate
Motorola 7-inch tablet launch tipped for 2011
The Motorola XOOM looks set to be joined by a smaller tablet device according to comments made by Moto CEO Sanjay Jha.
Talking at the Morgan Stanley's Technology, Media & Telecom Conference, Jha revealed that more tablets would join the 10.1-inch XOOM before the end of the year. While Jha did not specifically name the 7-inch device, he has previously talked up the potential of a tablet with a 7-inch form factor.
While Samsung appears to be leaving the 7-inch tablet world behind them in favour of the 10.1-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and a possible Samsung 8.9-inch tablet, the HTC Flyer would probably be considered the main rival for any smaller Moto tablet release.
