Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition set for February 2012 release

A BBFC rating was the clue that gave away the soon-to-be release date of the game

Mortal Kombat seems ready for another release with Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition slated to land on February 17 2012, with an 18 certification

The UK ratings body, The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), has slapped an 18 certificate on Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition, which is said to contain "strong bloody violence".

In addition, the BBFC only mentioned the Xbox 360 in connection with the game, although it is hoped that it will also land on the PS3 in February. It's expected to contain all the DLC content so far.

Published by Warners Bros, Mortal Kombat 9 was released in April 2011 and sold three million copies as of September 2011.
