Miele S7 vacuum cleaners - full beam ahead
With LED headlights and handbrake cornering, this the Mini Cooper of the floorcare world
Miele has been making vacuum cleaners in Germany for a staggering 80 years and it’s heralding the new S7 range as “a new era” in upright floorcare! Of course we’re not so easily sucked in (excuse the pun) by the marketing campaign, but these are the most highly specified suckers on the market and they’re aimed squarely at the UK.
At 1800 Watts of suction, they’re certainly among the most powerful and the unique swivel action of the handle makes them highly manoeuvrable too. They can fold back flat to get under furniture and have an LED display on the handle, while sensors underneath automatically adjust the height and suction to suit your carpet.
There’s a hose attachment at the side to reach cobwebs and those tricky bits on the stairs and a six-litre vacuum bag so you don’t have to replace it so often. Our favourite feature is the dazzling LED headlight array that could easily hold its own at an Essex car show. It’s more useful here for floodlighting your dusty floor of course.
The range includes five different models that vary in price and function from the lemon yellow S7210 at £249 to the LED-controlled S7580 pictured here at £370.
